Is it possible to get from Wilderness Lodge to the Crystal Palace in an hour and 15 minutes? To make this harder we will are wanting to eat there before attending a party. We are planning on leaving Wilderness Lodge at 4:00 and hopefully get a reservation around 5:15. I’m hoping all the party goers will already be mostly let into the park before we arrive at MK.

Yes, that will be ample time. The boat ride is pretty quick.

@maryj11 keep in mind the MK bus also runs from the WL so you have 2 options. The hour between 4 PM and 5 PM tends clog up the entrance tap stiles as many, many guests will be trying to enter as early as possible and party guests for MNSSHP and MVMCP allow party ticket holder to enter at 4 PM.

Yes that’s what I was thinking. Hopefully the line will be moving by then if we get there around 4:30

There will be a huge party crowd waiting to get into the park at 4pm. It will be a lot of people. If you have regular park tickets, then you can get into the park through the regular gates. But if you have party tickets then you will be limited to a certain section of the entrance gates. It will take a few minutes, but you will have plenty of time to get to Crystal Palace for your reservation.

We plan on leaving wilderness lodge at 4:00. I’m hoping the crowds in line will be moving pretty good by the time we get there. We won’t have regular park tickets for the day.

Yeah hopefully not. The party starts at 7:00
Well, they mean missing some of your ‘pre’-party time in the park, since one of the things that makes party prices bearable is that ‘extra’ time in a fairly quiet park from 4-7. Of course there’s more to do at MK than just rides & lines though!

Anyway, a previous Christmas party! Arrived at dock around 5:00. By around 5:15, we were off on a magical journey!

5:25 we were docked. By 5:40 we were through the turnstiles, given our wristbands, and were enjoying the “snoap” in the Main Street bypass before (after?) collecting our ornaments.

Thank you for all the information 😁. Yeah I’m hoping we will be able to catch some of the quieter crowds before the party. That will be the last day for our dining plan and want to make our last table service to be for it.

I would not call that 4-7 time fairly quiet anymore tbh, not for the past few years. Disney has done a very good job hyping this benefit in recent years, which is why crowds to get in at 4 are so crazy now. Waits for everything spike significantly because the first thing everyone does when they get in is beeline for rides (or the Jack & Sally queue, which p much instantly jumps to 60 min). That’s one of the reasons we’re always telling people who aren’t going to the party to hop out by 4. I would say it’s still not as bad as nonparty day crowds but it’s by no means relaxed the way it used to be before normie guests widely knew they could get in that early on a party ticket (and before they started using them as a substitute park ticket).

IME, from attending several parties, Halloween and Christmas, arriving at MK anywhere from 3:30 to 5:30, it’s a bit of a question of what’s quiet when. Despite the influx of party people, it’s still usually a quieter crowd day among the day guests on party day. The people who left for midday naps may have stayed at their resorts and not come back. Character lines (party exclusives) are their own animal, especially when they won’t even start moving until actual party time. Beyond those, I’ve had pretty good luck.

The typical long wait attractions like Jungle/Jingle Cruise, Peter Pan, 7DMT, Tron are not going to be short until during-fireworks or late night times. Everything else seems to get lull times. It can be hard to tell once wait times stop showing on the app at 6, so kind of have to walk around and feel it out. The worst though is right around 6, when remaining day guests may get in their last line of the day up to 5:59. Still gives good windows from 3:45 to 5:45, and 6:30-7 to get in a few rides. Usually the farther you are from Main Street, and from the Bypass that they guide people towards, the better off you are. This year that’ll be less pronounced because of Big Thunder being closed, but still might be a good time to go on Tiana’s or Pirates or whatever!

We went to party several years ago arrived before 4 and got in it was pretty crowded and lines were kind of busy. I’m hoping things will slow down by the time we are done eating at crystal palace.
