Can we just start talking about Halloween now????

Looks like history could repeat itself tho..

MSEP went until September 30, 2019 at which point disneyland didn't have a disneyland parade again until Christmas time

So here is my new predictions on when we will get Halloween info. Based on how slowly Disney is releasing info.

I think Halloween tickets will go on sale in June, after Fantasmic comes back.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I hate your prediction 😂. I guess June would still be better than July though.

We are going to the parks the last week of September, but we are not planning to do OBB. We are going to be doing 5 days of single park days. Normally we do park hoppers, but we decided to do genie + instead. I didn’t even think about OBB nights when we decided on dates. What are the parks like on those days? Is DL super crowded? What about DCA? We had originally planned to do every other day switching off parks (DL on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and DCA on Tuesday and Thursday). But, that would most likely put both DCA days on an OBB party night, so it would close early. What do you guys think would be the best option? We will not be doing park hoppers.

I can tell you that during the mix-in time CA gets extremely busy.

The big question for me is do you want to see nighttime entertainment at DCA. If you don't have hoppers and go to DCA on party nights you won't get any night time stuff in DCA. Folks did report last year that party days were less crowded during the day.

We are also doing 5 day tickets with genie instead of hoppers. Though we do plan to buy party tickets. I plan to choose my days to be at DCA on non party days becauee having the night time there is important to us. Our trip looks like this:

Thursday: Disneyland
Friday: DCA
Saturday: Disneyland
Sunday: OBB (no park ticket)
Monday: DCA
Tuesday: Disneyland

Officially under 180 days today!

So while I said my prediction for Halloween tickets was June, I am still holding out hope for a halfway to Halloween thing at the end of April..

We’re 180 days today!! :)

We’re going in September(probably 20 to 23). I’ll be glad when they announce the dates so can decide when we’re going. I love to dress up. I’m going Steampunk. I’m even doing my scooter as a time machine. I can hardly wait

We did steampunk Pinocchio a couple of years back. I was Jiminy; he was Stromboli, and Baby Bear was Pinocchio.

I'm so excited I can say this, I am going to Disneyland in October!!!! My best friend is hitting a birthday milestone, and her son does not want to go to Disneyland with her. So with a little begging, and finding some assistance with the kids for DH, I got cleared to go! Thankfully my friend is planning EVERYTHING! So she is handling tickets, reservations, and planning matching outfits. Super excited!!! We are planning OBB. I went in 2019 with DH, and we had a blast!

Yay more people to be exited with!!

Well I have to say, I'm off an on nervous about buying OBB tickets. Last year I followed along here with others buying tickets and it seemed like a giant mess. The virtual queue, site delays, double charges, etc. This past Tuesday the runDisney Marathon registration was a disaster of epic proportions. Yesterday I registered for some virtual runDisney races and had no issue. So from a techinical prospective there have been good days and some bad days. No one knows what to expect this year but man I hope Disney has some kinks worked out for this time around.

This is why I need to know the dates tickets go on sale- so I can make sure I am available lol!

I spent some time last night reading the OBB thread from last year.

Once we get an announcement, do we want this thread to become just general Halloween time and start a new OBB thread?

Is there any difference in OBB parties between the dates in September vs October dates? I was aiming for October but I am now thinking that September would be better in case they still have MSEP going (which ended in September in 2020(?)).
