Can we just start talking about Halloween now????

Around when do they 'normally' announce the dates of the Halloween parties?

Prior to 2019, it was usually late June/early July. In 2019, they released details in April, in 2020 obviously there was no announcement, and 2021 was back to July (but the parks didn't even open to out of state visitors until June).

So we are flying into San Diego for the first part of our trip and flying home out of SNA. The flight prices were the same as they have been and I've decided to go ahead and book today. I bought our one way to San Diego, but because prices were a bit more I wanted to get another Sam's gift card before I booked our return. I bought it from Sam's at 730am and I am so irritated I don't have it in my email yet. Yes I know it says it can take up to 48hrs but the ones I bought on Sunday came right away... just sitting here waiting for it so I can book our flights!!

My trip is 22 September - 29 September.

So I'll have to select my park reservations in May (which it looks like is going to be before they announce Halloween events).

When booking my park reservations, which dates should I presume the Oogie Boogie Bash will be on?

Here is a question for those with better memories than mine. When the park reopened last year, how far out could you make reservations? When they released the Halloween info in July, were reservations for September/October opening up about the same time? Or, had they already been open for a couple months?

I don’t remember the exact time frame but I do know that last year when people were buying OBB tickets they already had park reservations at that time.

We bought OBB tickets on 7/13/21 and then immediately (that same day) got park tickets and park reservations. Trip was the first week of October.

My e-mail also tells me that getting OBB tickets must have put me in a Disneyland mood, because just two days later, on 7/15, I was getting tickets and making park reservations for a Dapper Day trip in mid-November. 😀

So park reservations were open at 120 days. But even though October probably had been open for awhile, we had no trouble reserving for our dates once we got OBB settled.

Thanks, that's good to know. As I recall, reservations were wide open until the holidays last year, but this year, I'm looking at DCA dates in June already booking up (in March!). The more I think about it, the more I hope that they release details about OOB way before July. If they don't, reservations could be a total mess:(

In 2019- the first year of OBB, tickets went on sale in April...

So I really feel we have no clue. DisneyWorld hasn't announced anything Halloween either and historically (though that means nothing now..) they released details ahead of disneyland.

Got my flights all booked finally. Prices are deff higher than our past trips. Not crazy higher but higher. But I'm concerned they will continue to climb so I booked. If they drop I can rebook and get flight credits I guess..

Surely at least the dates will be released soon. We’re from Australia and have a 10 day pass in an 11 day window. Obviously we don’t want a normal park day when we’re doing the party and we’ll have to make reservations in a couple of months.

Are the 10 day passes back?? Where do you get them?

We got them two years ago, we were supposed to go Sept 2020. I don’t know if they’re coming back, maybe Disney realised that they were too much of a good deal. We paid $1500US for the three of us and now a 5 day hopper is $1300US.

Got our flights booked! Prices dropped drastically in the past two days so combining my gift card discounts and the small amount of points I had we saved over $700! More money to spend in the parks!!

Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link for this so I'll just describe it for now.

On Etsy there is a seller that makes those Disney shoulder plush pals. And currently they have a Zero Dog listed. It's too cute.

But also do they have Zero at the Oogie Boogie Bash?

Does anyone know.. historically.. does Disney run a parade at Disneyland during Halloween season? Like did they in 2019? I couldn't remember!

I answered my own question via another site..

In 2017 they had soundsational

In 2018 they had the Pixar play parade in October

In 2019 they did not run a parade during October

I hope they have a parade in the fall.. what I really want is MSEP to stay..
