If you want to sit inside, no matter how much you want to eat, you'll need an ADR.

There is a take-out window that serves just ice cream, so you could do that.

^^^ THIS. It's almost impossible these days to walk up and be able to get in to sit no matter what you're sitting for. Unless it's really odd times like maybe 3pm. We've sat outside of the front desk while waiting for ADRS and the steady stream of people walking up expecting to get in is constant, all the way to close.

We go every trip as a walk up for ice cream, but we are always willing to sit at the bar. Usually, we have little or no wait, but we have waited up to 30min. (max. we'll wait).

If you want a table/booth, you will need ressies. We have no desire to eat there - typical burger type place, nothing special, or different from most of the CS.

We didn't make ADRs last year and waited about 10-15 minutes for seats at the bar.

Just to clarify, the bar reference is really the counter. Complete w swivel stools

We made reservations there last time we went for about 130, and it did seem very busy. The kitchen sink ice cream for the group of 6 was lots of fun though, totally work making an ADR for if you haven’t done it before
