Can we go early for CG?

DH and I like to have a cocktail at the bar before dinner. Is there a bar? I understand you can't get access to CG until you are called for your ADR. Can I build in time to stop and have a drink or will they allow me up to start the evening with my martini? Thanks for any replies.

We typically don't do cocktails, so I can't answer your question about having a drink before being seated.
However, last May, we had several ADR's and as our schedule or transportation worked out, we arrived as much at 45 minutes early for two of ours (Mama Melrose's and Liberty Tree Tavern.) There was not enough time to go do another ride, but too much time to stand around and wait for our reservation time. So I just went in and stated I was early for my reservation. Both places seated us immediately. Very nice, no stress. Maybe that'll work out for you.

We always go early for our CG reservation because we like to sit at the bar for a cocktail and maybe some sushi before dinner. We have never had a problem. DH tells the people at the 2nd floor podium that we want to have some time for drinks and to please not seat us until closer to our ADR time. They always come and find us when it is time. There are always a lot of people at the bar waiting to be seated for their reservation.
