Can we get free dining going 9/29-10/7?

I'd like to go to WDW from 9/29 to 10/7, I know the dining offer says it is for stays through 9/30, but was wondering if you arrive prior to 9/30 and stay after 9/30 does the free dining get applied to the whole stay? I'm hoping it is similar to if your stay starts in value season, but ends in regular season you are charged value for the entire stay. Anyone know if this is the case?

It does work the same way, pending availability. So, as long as your ressie starts on or before September30, and there's availability*, you'd get the free dining (assuming your package qualifies already -- paying rack rate, buying the same ticket for each person listed on the room and quoting the appropriate code).

For instance, last year, our stay straddled both the free dining/regular dining 'dates', and the value/regular season rates, and our package was free dining on value rates the whole time.

* Recently, I got curious about a particular weekend in August, and the only availability on the free dining via the Disney website was Beach Club. Gulp! Even with free dining that was well above my budget :-)

I wouldn't wait too long because some of the availability at some resorts is no longer available. They only have a certain amount of rooms at the resorts for these special packages.

We did this last year, checked in 2 nights before the end of the promotion. It worked out fine. One thing that was great was that F&WF and MNSSHP started that way when we were there. You could use snack credits for the little tasty things in World Showcase at the kiosks. However we noticed a big increase in crowds once the F&WF started. I am not sure of start dates this year though.

Thanks for your responses - I'm going to see if I can get a ressie today!
