Ok, I think I've asked this before, but I still can't get this figured out!!

We are planning to do an Escape wedding and we want to get all the wedding stuff done and over with in one day....:scared1: I know, that sounds horrible to say!! I am SO much looking forward to this & I love feeling like a princess, but we are not "center of attention" type folks and we really want to relax & have fun as hubby and wife for the rest of our trip!

DF doesn't think we can get this all in in one day, but I want to try.

If I give you guys a list of events I want to fit in in one day, can you give me a suggested time frame? What time you would book everything?

Ok, here goes:
-MK photo shoot
-SBP ceremony & cake cutting
-Lunch at Garden View Tea Lounge for 16-18 people (including me & DF)
-a little time at Epcot
-Illuminations
-Dinner at Artist's Point??

We are willing to move the Artist's Point dinner to another night, but we will still need to eat somewhere. I would prefer someplace relatively quiet....

 Hey! I just got an idea!! What's the Illuminations dinner cruise?? I think I readabout this somewhere. What do they serve? How much does it cost?

If we did this, we wouldn't have to leave Epcot for dinner & it could be just us and quiet, right? We could watch Illuminations & then head back to the WL after for an early night, since we'll likely be exhausted!!

But I'm still confused on what time would be best to do the ceremony so I am still in good shape (hair & make-up wise!) for the ceremony-:confused3 & what time to do the Garden View Tea time so that we don't have a ruined appetite from cake or have it too close to dinner.

Maybe a 10:30am ceremony and 1pm Grand Tea?

Thanks everyone!!

I think you could do everything but the dinner at artists point. How about another restaurant in EPCOT since you'll already be there? I haven't heard of an Illuminations dinner cruise, they're usually just party boats with snacks - like chips and things. You could do an Illuminations Dessert party and have finger foods along with desserts.

Thanks! We thought about the dessert party but we can't afford it and we were concerned that it would be too many sweets (wedding cake, followed by grand tea w/pastries, followed by desserts!!)

Are there any not so hectic restaurants for dinner at Epcot? What about on the Boardwalk (or nearby resorts), since it's walking distance to Epcot? We'll also have 4 hours of limo service to use up so that might be an option as well.

What do you think about what times would make sense to plan the MK shoot, ceremony, and luncheon?

MK shoots are always at 5 or 6am I belive - way too early for me to have even considered!! I would do the 10am ceremony, lunch at noon and then you'll have plenty of time for EPCOT. I don't know of any restaurants in EPCOT that don't get busy, but I think the idea of something at one of the EPCOT resorts could work. That or something on the monorail you could easily get to and from. If you book 180 days out though, you can pretty much get any restaurant you want, busy or not.

You can get private dining on the firework boats. It is pretty expensive. I understand wanting to fit it all in one day but if you are rushing from one thing to another and getting up really early you are going to very tired and also may not end up enjoying the day that much.

Hi, according to the info on these boards (restaurant menus) the Gardenview Tea Room doesn't open until 2pm. You could go to the Grand Floridian Cafe as they are open until 2pm but I'm not sure if they would restrict you to a certain time for a group of 16-18. Also, Lynn500 had problems with them forcing her to order of a fixed menu which had limited choice. You could always book two tables of 8-9 and ask for them to be close together.

Another option might be Kona Cafe at the Poly. We are looking into exactly the same thing - ceremony at 1000, lunch at around 1230 etc.

We are going to have dinner on the night at Le Cellier at around 1830, then out for illuminations. Afterwards, we are going back to the Boardwalk (we will be staying there) and perhaps onto Jellyrolls if we are up for it but we are keeping it very 'loose' in case people have had enough.

Hope that helps :goodvibes
