Can we drop our bags off early at VWL?

We will be staying at VWL for a few days after staying a week in a vacation home. We are returning the rental car to the car care center at 2:30 of the day we check in to VWL. Can we drop our bags at VWL and then go return the car and then use Disney transportation back to check in at 4:00?

You can check in almost any time, leave your bags and then go return the car. You don't have to wait until 4 to check in. Your room might not be ready until 4 or later. Our room at BCV wasn't ready until about 5:30PM in June.

I don't know if it is Disney transport, or Alamo/National transport, but there is transportation.
