I know this is probably been asked and answered but I cannot find the answer. I have the DDP (1 table, 1 cs, 1 snack). I am going in Agust, myself and my 18 yr old. Could we go to lunch at LTT and only get one entree & dessert and share? In the heat, large meals are too much sometimes.... I know we can't do that at Buffet but was wondering about regualr TS meals? We have 10 full days and 9 nights of DDP so an extra TS wouldn't go to waste. TIA Jill:)

You should be able to share as long as you are both on the plan. It is not against Disney policy for two people on the same plan to share a meal, but I believe I have heard of some restaurants (but I think the were in Epcot in WS) that don't allow dining plan guests to share meals.

Yes, many people share meals so that they can save credits for 2 credit sigs and dinner shows. The only restaurants where you order off a menu that I've heard that won't allow sharing are Via Napoli and Beaches and Cream.

As you said, you will each be charged at buffets, all you care to eat family style restaurants, if you order the Skillet at Whispering Canyon, the dinner shows and CRT. I'm not certain, but I think also at Akershus since that's partially a buffet.

Thank you... Good to know about Via Napoli it was on our list.... DD always has eyes bigger than her tummy... and that way we might be able to try an appetizer... share an entree. :cool1:

Ugh...Via Napoli was on our list too. I'm going to have credits left for my family (3 A, 1 C) but my sister and her DS won't. If she orders drinks and a salad or appy, do you think they'd let us do this since they're actually ordering something?

Yes...when you order, let the waiter know that your 3A 1 C are on the dining plan, but sister & son are paying cash and should be on a separate ticket. Then she orders whatever she wants. If waiter says anything, she just says that's all they want, thanks.

They only lay-down-the-law on dining plan components...if she's paying OOP, no rules.

Thanks! We try really hard to not break the rules.;)
