We're planning on going over to the campground one afternoon in October to do little stuff like biking or canoing, the petting zoo, etc. We plan on doing the sing-along portion of the Campfire (with our own hot dogs and s'more fixings, I think). Will we have time beforehand to do the Haunted Hayride? Or maybe after? I don't want to stay too late because of the little one, so before would be preferable.

Also, is October the 8 pm campfire or 7:30 pm? What are the chances (if we do an earlier hayride) of seeing the EWP afterward? We lucked out last time, walked down after HDDR for the fireworks and then the EWP showed up.

Do you know what times the Haunted Hayride are at? That would help in knowing if you could make it or not. Wouldn't take long to get from the Hayride to the campfire or vice versa.

Depending on the length of the movie, you could probably see EWP. Since most of the movies aren't that long, I don't think it would be a problem.

Wow, scheduling this might be tight.

First, the campfire/singalong generally moves its time along with when we turn clocks forward/backward although I can't swear it's on the same days. It's 8pm in summer and 7pm in winter. I think your October date would fall in the "summer" category still. The C&D/singalong portion will last about 40-45 minutes. The fire is going a few minutes early if you to come early with sticks and marshmellows. Watch the "movie" sticky thread for the actual movie if you want to stay and watch it.

Second, the Haunted Hayride is most effective in the dark, the darker the better. They have multiple rides every night every 30 or 45 minutes in the evening, can't remember which (it's been a couple years now). Used to be you could make a ressie earlier in the day or day before to get a time slot you want. Of course, if your child is young, you may want an earlier time so the effect won't be as dramatic (which it can be!).

Third, the EWP comes to FW about 9:30 or 9:45 pm if memory serves. It pulls out after dark from the shed on the other side of Bay Lake and goes CCW starting with the Contemporary and the Seven Seas Lagoon resorts and finishes with WL and FW. The actual time may vary based on what time sunset is.

I think you could fit in all three if you wanted to but it would be a full evening. Also check the time for the fireworks show over the MK; you can see that from the FW beach. Try to call FW beforehand to confirm the times for all.

Good luck!:woohoo:
