We did the sunrise safari on our last trip (staying on points on the conceirge level). It starts with a bus trip over to AK, and you go through some of the backstage areas where you pass some of the handling areas for the animals. When you arrive at AK, you are the first people into the park (about 1 1/2 to 2 hours ahead) and go over to the AK Safari trucks. Then you head out on the same paths that the normal Safari ride takes. But instead of taking the usual 20 minutes, we were out there for at least an hour and a half. Our CM guide Bethany, was excellent. There were many many stops by the different animals. Lots of time to take photos, and she talked about all of the animals (and occasionally her personal experiences in dealing with them). IMO it was well worht the price. Then breakfast over at Pizzafari in the back room. A very nice buffet that didn't come close to emptying out. (They did a good job of keeping it full). The 2 CMs who were our guides stopped by most of the tables and answered any other questions and chatted for a while. All in all a very nice addition to our trip.
