Can we cash traveler's checks onboard?

We're booking an independent daysail in St. Thomas and we get a discount for bringing cash vs. using a credit card. I hate to carry cash typically, but I'd be willing to bring on traveler's checks if I can cash them at Guest Services. That way we'd only have cash on our bodies from the Magic to the dock instead of for the whole trip.

Has anyone done this?

Yes, you can cash travelers checks on board at guest services. That's what we did for tips at the end of the trip.
