Can we carry water bottles into the park?

Yep, you can (and should) take your own water in, as well as snacks. Just no glass bottles or hard sided coolers are allowed.

We always bring frozen bottles in and put them in the locker - then we have nice cold water later in the day. ( open the top and pour a bit of water out before you freeze them)

That would be great if we can, but I don't want them confiscated if we try it. Thanks!

Not sure of all the rules, but I know we will be staying in the DL Hotel and I was told we can take plastic bottles of water or coke, sprite, etc. I was told NO cans or glass allowed in the park, because they can be used as weapons.

Albertsons is only about 2 blocks away on Katella and Brookhurst I believe if you need to pick up something before going in.

Hope you enjoy your trip immensely!

I know you can't bring glass in, but we have always taken in cans of soda. We freeze water bottles, then put a few cans of soda on top of them. They keep the cans cold for the morning, and then the bottles are melted and ready to drink for the last half of the day. It's always been perfect for us! :thumbsup2

I love bringing water bottles in. I've heard they have nice cold filtered water available at first aid for free to fill your own bottle with, haven't checked yet though.

I love bringing the little single packets of Kool-Aid so I can have a flavored drink any time I want without paying 3 bucks a pop...

You may not get caught. I was just told that DL park procedures do not permit cans or glass in the park and that was from their Promotions Planning Staff. She was tellling me what I can get away with and what will not fly. She said people "launch" cans so they don't permit them any longer. I don't know how long that has been the case or if they even check for such things...

I take a 24 oz water bottle into the park with me all the time - it's quite visible because it goes in an outside pocket on my backpack. And no one has ever said anything to me about it. Of course, it's a Dasani bottle, which is what they sell inside the parks, LOL! Still, I don't think it's an issue.

It may be that, or it may simply be something they don't care about. They have never even blinked, and they have always seen the cans. The bottom of our backpack is a soft sided cooler, we have to open it to get through security. The cans are at the very top, with the frozen water underneath. :goodvibes
