Can we all agree on just this?

To me it's like ps vs xbox vs wii- I want there to be good competition but ultimately I lean towards one side or the other- I would never go to a message board of the ones I don't favor because I already know which I prefer

See after this upcoming trip is over, I will wander over to a Universal Message board to find out about all the tips/secrets I would need to know. And a cruise message board. Then when I'm ready to go back to WDW, I'll wander back here.

I love planning trips. :hyper:

Now my rivalry side will come out when talking Italian beefs, hot dogs or pizza here in Chicago!

Just PM me when you are ready. I would be happy to help you out. :goodvibes

When any of us are referring to Universal in a post, I don't think there is a need to call it the "darkside" anymore as it seems most of us on this board have either been or plan to be there at some point! :rotfl:

thanks. ;)

It's the superfans who call it that. It's a term of endearment not an insult.

I hear there's are Universal, Disney Cruise, and Royal Caribbean Cruise, boards right here on the Dis. Pretty good ones, too, IMO.

I always (in joking) refer to disney as the darkside, becuase of the whole evil empire thing, then they aquired star wars, and the joke got funnier.

Heck, even Disney and Universal sometimes have fun with the rivalry. Granted it's been many years, but when I was a kid, my parents took me to DL and Universal (this was 30 years ago).

On the universal tram ride (not sure if they still have that), there were a few people with mouse ears. The tram tour guide took it in stride. he said, "I see a few people here with mouse ears on. We have no problem with that - we like our neighbors, but you are required to visit Disney tomorrow with a universal jacket". :lmao:

Personally, I don't go to Universal. Been there, but it's not my cup o tea. I prefer themed rides to "violent" rides. EE is about as drastic as I go, and in terms of "real" roller coasters, it's a lightweight. Universal just has too many rides that are too intense for me, and not enough that is my level. However, I have no problem with people that do go to Universal.

That said - I do and will tease you mercilessly about it. Just like I personally use an iPhone. MY friends are androids. I give them flak and they give it back. It's all goodnatured.

You don't have to have my taste in theme parks. But don't complain about the occasional ribbing I give you. Pick an equally good name for Disney and jab me back.

I've never referred to it as such. I grew up going to both however all of the nostalgia has been lost for me at Universal minus ET and Jurassic Park. I love the new HP expansions but not enough to go EVERY trip - moreso every other trip.

MK - regardless of age - will always be a must out of anything when I'm in Orlando.

Last time I wore my Mickey backpack to Universal with no shame whatsoever. If they can wear their Minion TShirts / gear to the WDW parks then the mouse is bound to make an appearance.

I have never referred to it as that, either. I don't necessarily see it as "the dark side" but I also am loyal to WDW and if I'm going to be in Florida, then I will spend my money at WDW. To each his own. I love HP but not enough to miss a chance to be at WDW.

There's a dedicated Universal forum, correct? As a Mets fan I have seen too many of my fellow fans try to troll Yankees forums, and felt sad for them.

Don't be Mets fans, folks. Trust me.

I have never referred to US/IOA as the darkside. I have no problem following your proposal OP.
