can u upgrade base tickets

OK I hope I dont confuse anyone. Im thinking of purchasing room only thru AAA> Then purchasing base tickets. Now last JAN they had upgrades on base tickets to parkhopper and water park. SO if that upgrade doesnt happen can I upgrade them myself, or am I stuck with base tickets.


Or purchase tickets now with park hopper options and the code comes out will I get any kind of reimbursent.

Sorry if this is confusing Im confused.

If you buy base tickets, you can upgrade them at any time, within the first 14 days after you first use them.
If disney offers an upgrade to the tickets it means you need to purchase a package from disney that includes the tickets. You would not be able to use tickets purchased separately as part of this package.
