can tickets be transfered for other items

There is no way that four of us can eat all the food that is included in the dining plan. My question is whether or not we can skip the desert or a couple of appetizers and switch them for water or snack tickets while in the parks?

No, the credits are as listed. Table Service, Counter Service and Snack.

When you use Table Service that credit is used. Even if you only eat an entree the credit is taken.

Likewise, you cannot get two counter service credits for one table service.
