Im not sure were to post this ? so I thought Id start here.

My DD is getting married in August--as part of the decorations we are taking the hersheys minis and my DH scanned a picture of the 2 of them when they got engaged at EPCOT in sept its really a neat picture theyre in front of SE and have on the bride and groom ears-- and wrap the picture around the candy we did this for DS they got married when we were in Hawaii last Feb so we had a reception for them after we got back so we could use one of the wedding pictures on the candy and it was a big hit.

so now DD attendents dress is called Apple Red--its a real deep red color--when she said red I was thinking a bright Christmas satin red!!!! :confused3

but its really pretty--well with valentines day hersays wrappers are red and pink with silver which goes perfect my dress is peral pink and DH is wearing a silver vest

so my ? is can I get the candy now and freeze it? will it be ok till August?

I usually start my Christmas cookies about a month before and freeze them but that only a month not 5 months

any ideas?

thanks

OMgosh - yeah, definetly.

They'll be fine.

You don't need to freeze it. Just keep it inside in a closet in a sealed container. I get candy after Halloween & Christmas every year to use the following year & have never had a problem with it.

I am probably the WORST person to ask this question, as I still munch on the willy wonka candy that I had bought to give out for Halloween TWO (yes two) years ago when i want something sweet (which obviously isn't too too often or the candy would be gone)...lol

The chocolate will be fine. Keep in mind freezing it will give it that whitish tint on the outside when it defrosts (don't ask me how i know this..lol), but it is still safe to eat. I agree with the above poster to keep it in a cool, dry cupboard and it will be fine. You have to remember, at the stores, they don't just throw out candy that doesn't sell for a while, they wait until it's gone then restock from boxes that have been stored as well, and it's not an issue.
