Can this be changed?

Sorry, this is kind of confusing...
We have an extra 15 points that had been banked from last year and had already booked our trips for the remainder of this year (Feb. use year). We stay around "a year ahead" in points (use banked and bank current) and all of 2010 points have been banked already. Instead of the 15 points going to waste we decided to add on a night to our Oct. trip at SSR - 31 pts. We requested to use the 15 banked points and borrow 16 from 2011. Got the extra night, but when I look online it shows the 15 points still there and 31 borrowed, so now we are still losing the 15 and wasting 31 also. Too late to call tonight, but I was wondering if any one has had this happen and will they "fix" it?

I think that you can call MS and get it fixed. Typically, they only borrow enough points to complete a reservation.

Since you had 15 banked points available, those should have been used. It is always a good idea, before haning up, to ask the CM to give you an accounting of things so you can fix any mistakes in that call.

I am sure that they will be able to see that it was an error.

I just made a reservation a few weeks ago, and told the CM which points I wanted to use. Somehow the wrong points were used, and when she got a supervisor to fix it, the points that were freed up went into a holding account. They had to do a manual adjustment to take those points out of holding so that they could be banked. It took a couple of days to fix it in Disney's system, but everything is right now.

Unfortunately, yes I it has happened to us...more than once.
We've learned to double check online, as usung the wrong use year or wrong resort points will affect our other vacations.
Normally, they can fix it - it just might take a few days.

Problem fixed! A supervisor had to do it, and the 16 borrowed points are coming from 2 different contracts (6/10) , but they are using the 15 from 2009 now.
