Can these wait times be right?

With the exception of Space Mountain, I always find that the wait times they put on are higher than they actually are. I don't know if that's because people drop out or what.

That was our MK day last week and I can tell you those wait times were correct. It was a nightmare with the system being down. It was my kids first trip and even after complaining about some rude CM and getting 3 more FP, we were there all day except a couple hours for lunch and didn't get to do a lot. We did the mountains and Peter Pan, buzz and 7DMT with our FP and othe than that we were able to do Pirates, magic carpets, teacups and Astro orbiter. So we only waited in line for 4 rides and it still took fourteen hours to ride 10 rides (minus 2 hours out of the park for lunch.). Not to mention other than wishes we didn't catch any shows or meet any characters. I just realized that and it's crazy!

Wow you got 3 extra FPs per person for complaining about a rude CM? That's pretty good (not that you had a rude CM but that they were so generous with the FPs)

I was surprised as well that my DH got three but we were all pretty upset. My kids were crying. The MDE app was down all day and everyone working seemed quite upset to begin with. But we were in line for 45-50 minutes for space mountain when they shut it down. I had waited in line for the FP kiosk trying to get a FP for space mountain and after a 45 minute wait at the kiosk this very rude girl told me my sons last FP didn't work right and was still showing up for him so we couldn't have more anyway. And space mountain was out of fast passes.

So I was pretty irritated when they shut down space mountain. Somehow my older son and I got out of the line and didn't get the paper fast passes they were handing out. When my husband asked for one for us the guy was super rude as well. We also were not that thrilled with the paper fast pass since other than space mountain the only coaster we had left to ride was 7DMT which was not listed on the paper FP.

We were seriously angry with the customer service and about to just go home but had to go to guest services to call the wave, where we had left our card at lunch. The girl at guest services made a lame attempt to call the wave, and just said they didn't answer and just stared at us like we were stupid. After of course we waited a half hour to talk to anyone at guest services. Of course they won't give out the Number to the wave and that was my husbands final straw. He spoke to her boss (who texted a friend working at the contemporary) and gave us the FP. So it was a multitude of rude CM. in fact the only polite or really helpful person there seemed to be the boss at guest services. It was a really unpleasant day.

Wow. I'm so sorry that you had such a difficult experience!

We were there during that week, got home Sunday 10/18, and YES those times are accurate. I knew it would be pretty crowded, but it was more than I had expected. It is still worth getting to the parks at RD, and doing as many rides as possible during the first hour or 2. Then we would do our FP rides, and had lunch abpout 1-1:30 each day. Our best time over the entire 8 days was our last day- Saturday at MK was PACKED, about 3 we went to Starbucks (GASP) and took it over to the little back area by the Arribas Bros store, sat in the shade and just relaxed for about an hour.

hmm, I suspect that those crowds were because it was the week AFTER Columbus Day causing that, because I was there from 10/2-10/7 BEFORE Columbus Day and it was great. Yes, I had my fast passes booked well in advance and properly, but even the food & wine festival was very manageable where there are no fast passes for all that yummy food. DHS was a breeze, I went on Star Tours three times on a late Friday (my arrival day) with the sign saying 10 minutes and it was less. (Three different tours too!)

Also, if you're going to do the Halloween party (which we did), do it on a Sunday. It was awesome and not too crowded. Also, we skipped the early parade to hit some rides with no waits, watched the late one, and then lo and behold on the way out, the wait for Mickey at Town Hall was only 5 minutes so we did that. Honestly, it was GREAT.

Also, we booked breakfast before rope drop on the morning that we went to MK and that was really nice to be at the attraction walking on the ride as the rope was being dropped. Made it easy to go on 5 rides (and grab a picture with Chip & Dale) before 11am.
