Can the new deal be applied to an existing reservation?

I've been reading a bunch of posts about the new deal announced today, but I'm confused...can the code be added to an existing reservation?

i just modified my existing reservation with the new deal and everything went smoothly. I am gettign refunded my money in about 2 weeks with the card that I used to buy the package in the first place.

Thanks for the quick replies! All I was reading was about people booking but not about anyone applying it to trips already booked. I e-mailed my TA...so now I have to wait until tomorrow morning! We'll get one free night and the $200 gift card! Between that and our Disney Rewards card, we'll be eating for free!

yes, but only for stays that originate on or after Jan. 4.

Ours started on the 3. So we had to cancel... then start a package on the
4 and then do room only on the 3rd.

We didn't end up saving very much money because we were at the POP, but also because we were committed to a Jan. 9 departure so only got 1 night free instead of 3.

However, she was nice and said that we could start our Tickets on the 3, not the 4, but not sure about the DDP.

Basically, they will check us in with our whole package on the 3rd... YAY.

Our original reservation was 12/31 - 1/6 POR and I called to ask what I could do since extending a few nights would not have been a problem but could not stay to the 11th...the agent was not very helpful and very short only to say that it was buy 7 pay for 4 and I couldn't even get the $200 gift card, because of the 12/31 check in ..I was going to extend our stay to Jan. 7th and add a park hopper, He wouldn't even extend the park hopper just told me to do that at check in. We ended up extending our package to the 8th but no discount

So after the call I'm thinking "gee I'm going to be there 1/4 to 1/8 and not even get to take advantage of the $200 gift card. I got back on the phone, waited another half hour and got a very helpful agent that helped me make two reservations the first 12/31 - 1/4 and then another 1/4-1/9 getting to take advantage of "at least" one free night and the $200 gift card and she very nicely added the extra day park hopper for us.

Was not aware that the offer is for a minimun of 5 nights, paying for 4..So we at least were able to take advantage of one night free and get the gift card Not a huge savings but an extra few days of vacation and a gift card. So the moral of the story is to see if you get a nice enough reservation agent to help you tweek that ressie. I'm happy

I can't believe my TA was still at work at this hour, but she just e-mailed me that she had already added the code to our reservation and we saved $113 plus the $200 gift card! I'm very happy with that!!!!
