Can you save seats for Fantasmic (wk of Aug 22nd) and let the teens ride TOT and RNR - will they be allowed to leave the stadium once they see where we are seated and then rejoin us before the show starts? My sis and I will be glad to sit down, but I know my nephews would be much happier spending the hour doing something. Anyone able to do this?

Sure they can. There are people constantly coming and going from the stadium.

It might not be a problem, but we have been told that after the stadium reaches capacity they won't let anyone else in and advise parties to stay together. When we were there in Feb., I got up to go get a snack. They had already closed off our section as it was full. The CM stopped me and said it's OK, but got a look so she would remember me when I returned to let me in. That had never happened to me before, so I don't know if it was an overzealous CM or what. Also, it might be hard for your teens to find you, the ampitheater is pretty big.

I used the little blanket we got from our flight down and spread it over a bench 1 hour before the show. I sat there and ate dinner (got to relax by myself:D ) while my family did TOT and other rides. It really worked out very well for us. They had no trouble getting back into the stadium.

Stadium?? At Disneyland they just do it over a lake and there is no seating. Is there proper raised seating so that it's easy to see and how early do you have to be to have a ok seat at one of the MVMCP?

In WDW Fantasmic is held in a large Stadium, very nice. As far as the MVMCP, that is held in the MK, there is no seating. Some of the rides are open, there is a great Christmas parade and there are shows in front of the palace and other locations. It snows on Main Street, it really is a lot of fun.

I would describe it more as an amphitheater. You can split up for a short time, but I would really be careful about them trying to meet up with you too late. They do warn that when they reach capacity, no one else is allowed in -- or back in.

We usually use the waiting time for a meal or snack.

Yes, be very careful! They do deny entrance at a certain point - happened to me last time I was there. There were just two of us so we figured we didn't have to rush, and rode the RnR a few more times. At about 20mins before the show we tried to walk down the path (prepared to stand) and the CM's wouldn't even let us through.

If they are kids and are instructed to tell the CMs that their parents are inside, you will likely get a bit of leeway - just be careful and be prepared. Best thing to do is ask the CM at the gate as you enter, as they will likely be the ones at the gate during the show.
