Can someone walk me through the particulars in sending in room requests?

I thought there was a link to this subject somewhere, but I can't seem to find it! Anyway, I've never sent in room requests but because of back problems would like to ask for a few specifics. How and when should I do this and what would you suggest I write? Thanks for the information in advance!

Make sure any requests you have are noted on your reservation with CRO/WDTC.

There have been a lot of rumblings lately that the room assigners are so inundated with faxes that they are pretty much ignoring them and sticking to requests that appear on actual reservations.

Remember, the more general your requests the easier they are to meet. When I see people who didn't get a request met, its usually because they were very specific (actual room or set of rooms, etc.).

I have never faxed a request and have never had aproblem getting what I wanted.

If you have a medical reason behind your request, make sure that that is noted on your rez also.

I am another one that doesn't bother with faxing requests. We just ask when we check in and they have always been helpful with meeting our needs.

Thanks for the info. I had some of the same questions. We never did a room request in advance.

Like safetymom says you can work it out at check in. The earlier you check in also helps as it is pretty much first come first served. I know it is not always possible if you are flying or driving long distances.

When we checked into WL in Sep., the CM said no rooms are assigned until check in, and they go by the code on your ressie they get from CRO to the question I asked about it.

If you do arrive early, check in and Bell Services will put your luggage in storage and you can head to a park. Then when you return they will bring it to your room.
