Can someone walk me through the dining reservations process?

This is our first trip in 11 years so things have changed quite a bit. My 60-day mark is coming up and I'm a little confused as to the process.

I believe I have to log on at 6 a.m. EST. Should I go on the computer, app or call? I also have a split stay so I guess I need to do this twice? In addition, I want to make a build a light saber reservation and I think I can do this at midnight? So many rules to just do what should be easy! LOL

If anyone can give me a step by step, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

I believe I have to log on at 6 a.m. EST.
Reservations have actually been opening at 5:45am EST so I'd be logged in by then.

Should I go on the computer, app or call?
I prefer the computer but the app works too. Phone lines don't open until 7am EST, so definitely don't wait for that.

I also have a split stay so I guess I need to do this twice?
Yes.

In addition, I want to make a build a light saber reservation and I think I can do this at midnight?
Yes.

The light saber opens at midnight. Be logged in to your MDE account and then go into Savis. Know your date ahead of time. These go quickly ( but not as quickly as some ADRS). Also - remember that you can only go in with the builder and 1 other person so if you only have 1 person building, only 2 people total can go into the room.

For your dining ressies, make sure you are logged into your MDE account (or it won't give you your 60 days plus) and be ready to go by 5:45am Eastern. I also recommend having your computer AND your phone ready to go. When I tried, I couldn't get in on my computer so I switched to my phone to start while I backed out of the website, changed browsers, and got back in. Make the hardest reservation to get FIRST - don't go in date order. For instance, when I made mine, I knew the hardest one to get would be Ogas, so I went after that one first even though it was 4 days into our stay. Remember to have your credit card close by because some reservations require a credit card guarantee.

Also - don't forget to try both actual dining times (6pm, 6:30pm, etc) and also "Lunch" or "dinner" The site is glitchy and may pull up different things with each of these. Finally, I recommend you try for the party size you actually have and also 1 or 2 more. For instance, I had a party of 3 for most of my reservations. I tried for a party of 3 and also for a party of 4. I usually had more luck finding for a party of 4.

Hope this helps!
