I can't remember if it is just on the UPH, or the AP. Which is it, and how much is the discount???

Thanks for the info!

10% on UPH only. That is off the regular price, not the advanced purchase.

The gate price went up on the UPH and the advance price did not increase. So if you can purchase UPH thru MS using your DC discount, you would get a discount of 11% off gate price!

I will be calling MS on monday to try and do this.
Yesterday I spoke with a CM at DC reservations and she said that she could not add tickets to a DVC reservation, but that I "should" be able to call MS on Monday and add the UPH passes recive the DC discount on the advance purchase price. We'll see if this is good info.

I'll post the results.

I ahve never tried to advance purchase UPH thru MS, always thought they had to be purchased at check-in.
Has any body ever bought in advance thru MS and recieved the DVC discount:confused:

I have been going back & forth, round and round over which passes to buy for my October trip. I will be really interested to see how it works out for you with the adv. purchase UPH/DVC discount.

Please keep us posted!

You can't advance purchase the UMP for DVC or use the 10% discount on the advance purchase discounted price.

Dean please help me-for someone reason I am soooo confused about ticket prices. We are brand new to DVC and leave Thursday. As a DVC member, is the only way I can get tickets is to purchase them upon arrival at the resort? And is the discount for DVC 10% off of the gate price? My DH keeps asking how much are tickets going to cost and I keep giving him a different amount:confused:

The DVC discount can only be applied at the resort (not in advance) and the Disney Club discount cannot be used for advance purchase for a DVC reservation. This applies only to UPH. You can purchase Hopper passes/AP/PAP using your DC- but there is no DVC discount on those.

Here are the current WDW ticket prices. Just be sure to deduct the 10% DVC discount from the UPH prices listed.

You will be allowed to drop at least 1 day (first or last) from the UPH with DVC discount (usually both can be dropped if desired).

If you find something different from MS, please let us know. :)

OK, now I'm confused. Doc says you can drop at least one day (first or last) from UPH. If I were to fly down Sunday and checkout on Saturday, I'd like to drop off the last day of going to parks sooo, which pass would I get. 5 night/ 6 days or 6 night/ 7 days?? Because Sunday-Friday is 6 nights but that puts the 7 day on Saturday which is the one I don't need but it seems to me if I'm figuring right (AND I'm probably not) that if I want to go in to the parks Friday night, I'd need the 6 night right???

Oh bother, I'm so confused

You would get the 5 night / 6 day pass. On Friday, the 6th day, you'd be able to use the pass all day and all night. Those passes would cost $281.25 per adult, and $225.25 per child.

For Thursday, you don't have much time. The only discount you will get through DVC is the UMP (length of stay). There are several options where you could still get discounts like AAA and some of the travel/ticket companies where they will overnight them to you or deliver them to your resort. I don't have access to my list at present but I'm sure others have more experience with some of these companies than I anyway and can offer suggestions/advice.

Thanks, ya'll. Since we are staying for 9 days I am going to the Disney Store and buying AP's with my Disney Club discount. It's definitely cheaper than UPH's now:D

Unless you have the AP renewal rate or will be returning within 12 months, the UPH with DVC discount will still be cheaper. Don't forget to deduct the 10% from the rate on the price list.

AP with DC discount is $377.01 and 9 day UPH with DVC discount is $369.03 . (Make sure your DC card is still vaild when you make the purchase). If you can make another trip within 12 months, the AP will definitely be less.

So, if I read this right, we are taking 10% off the gate price not the advance price? Because there are two prices quoted, gate price and advance price.

Thanks,
April

Doc-
Thanks for clearing that up. We decided to go with the AP's this time and when we renew next year it will be cheaper than UPH's(might be easier to convince DH to take an extra trip, too.) This way we can visit the parks on our departure day(day 10).
