We are thinking of going to Disney during the Kids Play Free time. I would assume to get this deal we must pay the full adult ticket price through Disney. Right?

We are trying to decide how many days to stay. Seems the price for 2 adults for 5 days is not much more than for 4 days. So, the big consideration would be the cost of the hotel and food, right?

I do not feel 4 days is enough because Epcot really needs two days. Or maybe the kids would do well with a day off between. DH wants to know the cost analysis, of course.:rotfl:

Thanks!!!!!

Disney tickets are front loaded, meaning the first few days cost the most money. Once you get to the 4-5 day point, each day is only a few bucks more. Disney does this to keep people on property longer... if you are already staying 5 days, then for $4ish per person, why don't you stay 6 instead!

Personally, and this is only my opinion, is that Epcot needs 2 days and Magic Kingdom needs 2 days. Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios are 1 day parks for me (though I may plan Fantasmic on a different night then my DHS touring day to limit crowd impact). This next trip will be 8 full days at Disney (10 days including travel days). Last time I went it was for 5 days and I felt like it just wasn't enough time.

But again, that is only my personal opinion and what works for me.

Yeah ... what she said! ^ :thumbsup2
Last trip we did 8 nights- would have done more if it were me;), wouldn't bother with less than 6.:goodvibes

Once you go past Day Four, WDW tickets are only $5.33 (including tax) per person per day up to a maximum of ten days on a ticket. For any other questions you have concerning tickets, follow the link in my signature. You might want to look specifically at Posts #2, 6, 28 and 19.

At some point, it could be cheaper to go with a room only discount and pay for tickets for the entire family rather than the kids play free offer.

For instance, there is a 40% off code for resort villas for select dates (lower discounts for other resort levels). The longer you stay and the more you save. But the savings on the kids' tickets is pretty much fixed with only a few dollars saved for every additional day past the fourth day.

You might want to compare the total cost of your vacation using the kids play free vs. the room only discount and tickets purchased thru a place like undercovertourist. For some families it can be cheaper to do the latter. Without knowing where you will be staying or how many children you have, I wouldn't be able to tell you if it works out better for you.
