Can someone help me figure out how to use FP+ when park hopping?

I want to do all four parks in one day. We've been several times and have used the new FP+ but haven't used it for hopping.

Right now FP+ can only be scheduled in advance for one park. When you use all of your scheduled FP you can start making one more at a time and after that one is used you can make another. Just recently an announcement was made that the additional FP selections will be made through the My Dis Exp app. I don't know when that is being switched over.
When you go to the next park you can use one as an additional FP, but only one park FP can be made up front.

On June 1, 2014 we did the 4 parks in one day. Our goal was to ride every roller coaster in one day and we did. For Epcot we used Test Track. We did skip Goofy's Barnstormer/the Great Goofini, but we did have time to ride multiple rides that weren't on our list. We just made sure to make MK our last stop with a late EMH. All of our FP were for MK that day.

Have a great time!

Book your three fastpasses in your morning park, and then either use the MDE app or an in-park kiosk to book your fourth, fifth, etc in your afternoon parks.

The app can be used anywhere. The kiosks only work for the park you're actually in. And, of course, certain popular rides will be out of Fastpasses by the time you can book your fourth fastpass. So, if you're hopping to Magic Kingdom, great! You'll most likely find something you want. If you're hopping to Animal Kingdom, not so much, but if you're there in the last hour before close you don't need Fastpass anyway.

(We looked at extra fastpasses on the app yesterday - it's up and running.)

So say we just used our last FP at Epcot and we are still there. I can reserve a FP for our next park right then?

Additional FP+ can be made through the MDE app now, we did it a few days ago. What attractions are you going for, Greenerbell?

Here's how I'd go about it, assuming you're planning an early morning and late night:

1. Look for which park is open latest - you don't need FP+ when it gets really late (we did standby for 7DMT last week at 9:30 pm - 25 minute wait) - plan that for your 4th park.
2. I'd do rope drop at whatever is the earliest opening of the remaining three parks, bang out whatever you want to do there.
3. Then based on which attractions you want at the other two I'd make my advanced FP+ for the toughest to get ones that don't have single rider lines as my next park.
4. After using the FP+ at the second park, hop on the MDE app and grab whatever is available for the 3rd park then head over there and ride whatever you snagged plus standby (for single rider if available) on whatever else you want to do there.
5. Then go to the latest open park and ride standby when the lines are diminished for the evening (during a parade or fireworks also helps).

Do you have a list of attractions that you want to do in each park? That might make a difference as to which one would be the best to rope drop vs book advance FP+ for. The most difficult are DHS & Epcot because of the tiering, and because the headliners there are almost never available as a 4th FP.

Well I made our fastpasses for our second park of the day since we are rope drop people.

THIS, and now that the "4th" (etc.) FP+ can be booked via the App or site, that same thing looks to be true at ALL of the parks.

If your 3rd FP is a bit later in the afternoon, don't expect to find much in the way of popular attractions as the 4th or 5th FP, regardless of the park.

Will this be a permanent situation under all crowd conditions?
Stay tuned.

That is a very popular way to guarantee better attraction FPs at the second park.

No advance FPs booked at the first park of the day, then 3 FPs advance-booked only at the second park.

I like this idea very much.

So we are going to EMH AK and catch Everest and Safari. EPCOT is next, hoping to fp+ Soarin" if it's open, TT and the new Frozen in Norway. Then to DHS for ToT and Rockin'. Finish at MK and ride at the end of the evening when others are lining up for Wishes. We will see. I'm so excited to try this out!!

It's unlikely that you will be able to get a FP+ for ToT and RnRC. Those have not been showing as 4th FP+ options, even earlier in the day, unless you get really lucky and someone happens to cancel. More than likely, after your Epcot FP+, you'll be able to schedule something at MK before Wishes.

Also, Soarin' and TT are both currently Tier 1, and presumably the new Frozen ride will be Tier 1 as well. TT may drop to Tier 2 when Frozen opens and Soarin' re-opens, but you may have to choose only 1 of those 3 attractions as your Tier 1 choice. TT offers a single-rider line, so I would not choose that as my Tier 1. (If it drops to Tier 2 I would choose it as one of your Tier 2 choices.) If you can get in & out of AK quickly enough to make RD at EPCOT you may be able to ride Soarin' standby with not too long of a wait. I'd FP+ the new Frozen ride if you can as I'm sure that will see the longest standby lines and be the most difficult FP+ to obtain.

RnR also has single-rider so you could do alright there. If you want to ride ToT you will probably have a long wait, unless you can hit it close to closing time for DHS. It all depends on how much later MK is open if you can stay at DHS until closing.
