Hi everyone!

We booked our first placeholder cruise this past weekend to use on an Alaskan 2017 cruise. I keep hearing about transferring to a TA for more OBC. Would this be something you would suggest? How much OBC/what benefits does it provide?

Thank you!

Some TA's offer OBC's but not all do. To transfer your reservation to a TA all you need to do is fill out a short form.

There is also a time limit to transfer an onboard booking to a TA, usually 30 days. You would need to check with individual TAs to see what type of OBC they offer, if any, for a transferred reservation.

On the Dreams Unlimited website, it says:

Already have a reservation booked through Disney Cruise Line?
If you booked your DCL reservation within the last 30 days, Email us to see if we can save you money or apply a Shipboard Credit! *Deposit paid. Not paid in full. Other Restrictions Apply.

Like the PP said, 30 day time limit here and you need to check with them to find out.
