Can someone explain the travel ins.?

Hi Everyone,

Can someone explain how travel insurance works with our points. I read the little slip of paper and still don't understand it. I know its just me.

It doesn't seem to be worth it. Do most of you purchase insurance? If not, do your points go into holding and then you have to use them within 30 days?

When points go into holding, you can use them until the end of your use year. You just can't use them for bookings more than 60 days in advance. Those are the only limitations I know of. I don't think you can use them for II trades, but I think they can be used for CC bookings as well as WDW hotels, just again, no more than 60 days in advance. If you decide to to a CC booking or WDW hotel reservation, you have to do that at least 60 days prior to the end of your use year.

There is one other limitation to holding. In the last 60 days of your use year you are limited to DVC resorts only.
