Important to point out - 20% off food and beverages (including Alcohol) Makes those rum runners go down even better when you get 20% off! :earboy2: If you do a search you should be able to find a list of all restaurants and lounges that take it.

But 2 year olds can't drink, :rotfl:

I would wait until early January to order them. You will need the voucher as they ask for the numbers on the back. They will actually tell you which month they expire so when you call, make sure and ask. They are activated upon ordering. Right now it takes approximately 3 weeks to get the card.

I'll tell you my story and that should help you.

I called last Friday on November 4th to order my card for December 9. When I called the person asked when I was going. She then told me if I waited and called back on Monday, November 7, the card would expire in December 2006 not November 2006. I really appreciated her telling me this. I then called on Monday and they took my order and told me if the card did not reach my home by December 6 to call back and they would have a temporary card for me at Epcot. They required the numbers on the back of my AP voucher since I do not have the actual AP yet.

Good luck.

This is good to know. We are going in December this year and again next December and I want to get the card in time before we leave but I want it to be good through our trip next year as well... I will call on Monday :)

Okay...sounds like a good deal....now where do I get an AP voucher? Is there a secret to finding it on the options on the DW website?

I just went to the Disney website under tickets and ordered the AP there. They send the voucher that you turn in for the AP when you get there.

Saved over $600 first week of May with family of ten. :Pinkbounc

Thank you....ordered an AP last night.
There is just the 2 of us, but we like sit down dining....and have 3 trips in a year, so it will be great :)

I ordered my card 11/9 and was asked when my trip is, (12/19-27) It came in Saturday's mail and is good through 12/06 :cheer2:

Question for those of you who have one and have used it.....when/how do you let the server know that you have it? Do you tell them upon ordering, or when you ask for the check, or what?
thanks for any insight :)

A SEASONAL PASSHOLDER-would I qualify for the $50.00 offer? :confused3 Also, I will be going next week AND in Feb. can I order it now and it will be good till 2007 Feb? :confused3 Thanks.

For clarification - only AP's and Florida Residents can get the DDE card?

Thanks.

You just give it to them when they give you the check. They will bring you back a corrected bill with your discount.

To clarify ... DDE cards are available to all Fla. residents for $75 .. and to AP holders for $50. Only one person in the party has to have an AP to buy the card... so do the math. It has worked out well for us. :)

All of this information is so helpful. My DH and I are leaving in two weeks and are planning on going back in August and December 06. I wasn't sure if we should do the DDE, but after reading soooooo many posts about it, we decided it was the way to go. Now I just need to call so I can get my letter for our vacation.

As far as I know, it's just for Florida residents and Annual pass holders.

The $85 is for Florida residents, it is $60 for AP holders.

Is there an additional charge for a spouse card when getting the DDE with an AP discount? I am abot to order two APs and interested in the DDE for our next trip but finding conflcting info on the cost increase...Thanks!

It is $25 more for an additional membership/card.

So if we are always eating together, is it really necessary to get an additional card??? Or, if my husband goes to a counter service while I am waiting with the 2 year old, can he use 'my' card or are they very stringent with the owner must be the presenter?

Just so you know, it's only good at the counter service places that do not have a table service restaurant such as the value resorts. My apologies if you already knew this but others may not.

I'm not sure how strict they are.

We called in to clarify that today & said it's really up to the individual server. It's supposed to be that the cardholder has to be right there & paying, but they can & are sometimes lenient about it.

I went ahead & ordered mine today, although I'm kicking myself for not ordering it months ago when I meant to since the price went up. But considering we're usually eating out as a family, it'll soon pay for itself.
