Can someone explain the appeal of Kathy Griffin?

She is a current comedian with a book out. Can someone enlighten me on why she is humourous? She paired up with Sarah Palin's ex "SIL" and was very suggestive with him. Not my cup of tea.

I guess I'll be the one voice of dissent and say that a lot of the time, I find her hilarious. Hilarious in the "OMG, I can't believe she just said that!" kind of way.

To each his own. To suggest that she's a transsexual is a bit much, IMO.

It is not so much as shocking. It is more of HURRAY someone has the guts to say what we are already thinking.

I am almost 45, she is about 50. I do like all forms of comedy though, even the offensive. That might have something to do with it.

Just another channel on the TV I can flip past quickly. I just hope that some vulgarity doesn't fling out of her mouth during the 1/2 second it took to see she was on that channel.

She's not my favorite comedienne but I do find her funny at times. I'm 46 y/o female by the way. Now, the one that was WAY over the top for me that I saw on HBO one night was Lisa Lamperelli. Ever watched her? Whew.
