There are several people trying to sell me this stuff. I am skeptical of any product that is only available through a salesperson. The people I know who take it seem so enthusiastic for it and credit it for their health and energy, but then they want to sell it to me. So then I get skeptical. So what's the story? Anybody know?

a coworker sells this stuff and is doing a hard sell to the whole office. Its too expensive for me and I think they do an automatic withdrawal every month if they sign you up. Its about $40/month. and up. You have to take like 3-4 pills a day. may be more. Its a pyramid scheme but they hate you to call it that.

yes, yes...HARD sell. And it's the boss of the office selling it, which seems not quite right. I haven't gotten far enough along to hear about an automatic draft. No way. No way I'm giving my bank info to some lady I work with.

I am not a consultant but am very interested in this stuff myself. It is a whole food based supplement which is supposed to be better for you and is supposed to give you your daily requirements for fruits and vegetables which is what most of us are lacking especially children. I am going to be trying it and if it works for me may considering the program just for the discount for myself but then again I dont even know if you can do that.

PS - I dont think you have to sign up for a monthly program. I think you can buy a bottle at a time. Our local health food store sells it here as well as one of the doctors offices I go to so I will probably just buy a bottle and try it first.

I didn't see the word "plus" in your title and I thought you were asking us to explain juice to you. I was about to tell you that it's the wet stuff that's in fruit. :lmao: Okay, back under my rock.... :rolleyes1

I tried it for 18 months when I finished chemo. My Dr didn't want me on any supplements during chemo because the cancer could live off the supplements and survive the chemo.
I had read about it in Time magazine and they gave it a great writeup saying it was a fantastic way to get all your immunities up.
I felt no better during the time I used it than I did once I stopped. I do have neuropathy and neuralgia from the chemo and chronic fatigue from the neuropathy.
I can't say I would go back on it, they deducted $59 each month for a three month time period, then they automatically sent more of the stuff. I tried after 12 months to stop but it took them another 6 months to cancel. They continued to deduct from my checking account and would not refund the money even if I sent the stuff back so I used it.
I think you can find the same type of vitamens and minerals at a vitamen store and just eat your veggies and fruits. Peggie

Better for me than what? Fruits and vegetables? I'm surprised to hear that JP is sold at your local health food store. I thought it was strictly sold through MLM. But I really don't know, that's why I started this thread 4 weeks ago - to see if anyone had personal knowledge they were willing to share.

A neighbor use to be a Juice Plus rep. We never bought any. However, one year, guess what her son gave my DD at her birthday party? Juice plus gummy vitamins!!! What a thank you note for a 7 year old to have to write: "Thank you so much for the vitamins."

:rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao:

I am also skeptical of anything sold strictly through sales reps. I do a lot of craft and vendor shows, and I've run into Juice Plus people several times. All the ones I met were extremely aggressive in their sales pitch.

Aggressive sales pitch + only available from one source = something fishy.

dh is a pediatrician and had a patient's mom badgering him into buying this. everytime she came in with her kid, that was the main topic of conversation as if the kid's illness was an afterthought.

when dh finally told her he thought the whole juice plus thing was a scam, she left the practice and hasn't been back.

here's what dh had found on the internet about it:

Boy...to change pediatricians because of a reason like that...what a mom!

It is a good product...used it for awhile...this is what I use know and wont change again...this stuff is great...

Vitamineral Green is made by HealthForce Nutritionals...100% Organic or Wildcrafted..you can also find the website at www.HealthForce.com # 1-800-357-2717...this stuff is great and you can mix a little in juice and drink it down also...

It is not cheep but goes a long way...and I wont be without it!!!! We purchase it through our healthfood store but if yours does not have it you can order it by phone or website...there are other brands but out of the many that I have used this by far is the best!!!!!!

Even my kids will drink it as long as it is in a smoothy...I take just with a little juice...

Juice plus or something like it is sold at health food stores and is comparable product....

Wait, I'm confused. Child has access to JP yet you say he's sick? You must be mistaken. ;)

Seriously, one of the JP reps came to our house recently. We tried to politely shoe her away by telling her we had a couple of sick kids. Her response was "oh we don't get sick. we take JP." mmmmmkay.

OK - How about the MonaVie Berry Juice? Has anyone heard of that? I have a friend who is desperately trying to sell it to me (claims it's endorsed by Oprah) but I don't know.

For the price you pay, you're better off consulting a nutritionist or better yet finding a good health food store and getting their supplements.

I found this thread through the search function...however, if anyone would like the true details of the MonaVie health benefits &/or the business opportunity, please feel free to pm me! It has worked wonders for me, and have testimonies of many people that swear by it as well! There TRULY is nothing "shady" about the MonaVie opportunity! I have spent countless hours researching the company and the medical aspect, and am super excited about being a part of this organization! As the Dr.'s say...it's a gift from God!! :thumbsup2
