I just bought some Carb Solution bars and don't understand. The wrapper says they contain 15 grams of carb. but you should only count 3 of them. I thought there might be more info inside the package but there wasn't. Is this true or have I been scammed again? Can anybody explain why a carb is sometimes not a carb.....it sure is a mystery to me!

In the 15 - they include fiber and sugar alcohols. After subtracting the fiber and sugar alcohols (which supposedly have no bearing on weight loss) you will end up with 3 total carbs.

Whenever you read a label, you can subtract the fiber from the carb count to get your total carbs. :)

Thanks, I didn't know that. Does it make a difference if it's soluble or insoluble fiber? Most labels make a point of listing them separately.

Thank you for askng the question. I was curius, too.

And thank you for answering the question, Rhonda. I guess this is what they mean by net carbs?

I still can't go near anything that looks like candy or dessert.

Best Wishes and Encouragement, RaySharpton:)
