Can someone explain a "BounceBack" offer to me?

I have been on the Dis for years and am reading a lot
about people that say..." they offered us a bounceback
so we took it.........I am miffed!!!!!
What is it,,,and why have I not ever gotten one....?

I AM SO SURPRISED!!!!!!
I have stayed on property 25 times and never saw this....
And I read everything Disney,,,even the toilet paper.!!!
Please tell me that they just started this since my last
visit (May '06),,,,,,or I will be concerned about my mental state!!!

The first time I recall seeing a bounceback offer was in December '06 at the Contemporary.
Dec '07 there was nothing in my room and I wasn't "thinking smart enough" to ask at check out..I just assumed it wasn't being offered so I lost out.

I just Never thought to ask before I leave.....
Of course that was before I heard of people getting
all these good deals on rooms!!
I know now to ask before checking out if there are
any "bounceback" Offers!!!!!!

We are staying at the Poly in October. If we were to ask about a bounceback, how much is the disount approximately on let's say a next stay in the GF?

Where exactly do you see this offer at? We go to Disney every year and I'd love to be able to book early at a discounted rate!

Sometimes there's a flyer in your room or check-in package. But, if you watch the Resort TV channel, there will be a screen that says something like, "For a HOT DEAL, call #XXXX now!" And if you call that number, you'll be able to book it.

Don't count on getting the flyer; we didn't last year, but I knew from the DIS about it, so I watched and got the number and called.
