Can Palo diner length be briefly shortened?

We have Palo dinner scheduled for 6 pm, and a Cognac tasting scheduled for 8. I know Palo dinner is listed as two hours, but if we explained to our servers we needed to leave about 15 minutes early to get to the tasting, would that be taboo?

It really can take as long as you wish. They include that timeframe as people to tend to linger over the meal, but you are not required to stay for 2 hours.

You can definitely let your server know that you would like to finish by a particular time. I don’t recall our Palo dinners lasting more than 1 1/2 hours anyhow, but your server can keep an eye on the time and make sure you are done in time for your tasting.

You don't say which ship you're on, but if it's Dream class, there's a good chance your tasting could be in Meridian - the bar between Palo and Remy - so you wouldn't have far to go. When I did cognac tasting on the Fantasy it was there.

I think it’s doable. We just ate in Palo Monday on the Magic, also with a 6:00 res and 7:30 fireworks were just starting as we walked out. I thought for sure we would have missed them but it worked out perfectly. We ran down the stairs and only missed 2-3 shots.

If you missed 2 or 3 shots, you missed about half of it...lol

I am surprised the system let you book both of those. I was trying to book a tasting 2 hours after Palo Brunch and it was greyed out because it was "too close in time". (And I know that is why because a - it was not showing Sold Out and b - when I discovered Palo Brunch on Nassau Day and booked that after cancelling the Sea Day Brunch, the Sea Day tasting was suddenly available. I ultimately decided to keep the Sea Day open because I want to be able to enjoy all of whatever they do for MDAS in this environment.)
