Can Our Bags Take Magical Express?

But we take the rental car to the resort??

DH would like us to register to use magical express just to use the magical express for our bags. We don't need our bags for a few hours after landing and we are renting a car to go directly to DTD...

Can we do this without a problem?

The official stance is that you must ride the Magical Express in order for your bags to be transported. I don't really know what happens if you don't board the motorcoach as your booklet won't have been scanned. If you're going to rent a car, it's best to just pick up your luggage yourself.

To be honest, I would be very uncomfortable with the idea that someone could put a bag on a Disney bus and NOT ride.

Maybe it's the New Yorker in me, but unattended bags are a huge safety issue.

Don't worry about that. Luggage does not travel on the DME bus with guests. It is transported in a separate truck. And yes, the NYer in me is why I know this
