We have a 10 year old and a 12 year old who unfortunately haven't developed a wide palate yet and like the standards on the children's menus like chicken nuggets and fries. How strick are the Disney restaraunts in the parks and resorts when it comes to letting older children order from the children's menu?

If it's a CS there is no problem. I've been known to order a kids combo for myself. They don't know who you are ordering the food for.

The TS on the other hand are different. It would be a case by case basis. Just explain your situation and usually they will try to be as accomodating as possible.

What will my dd eat in Coral Reef...she doesn't like fish except shrimp cocktail (do they have that) and she's 14.

My DS is 12 ond mostly only eats hamburgers and chicken nuggets I hope he can order off the kids menu at some of the restraunts. Does anyone know? First trip to disney staying at a resort on site............

If you are not on the DDP then you should have no problem ordering children's menus for them. We never had any problems with this.

Even if you are on the DDP, you should have no problem ordering from the kid's menus. My kids are the same age and I am planning on asking for ADULT size portions from the kid's menus. We had no problems with this last year when we were on the DDP. My 12 year old would not be happy with 3 chicken nuggets and a handful of fries but at the same time, would not eat anything from the adult menus.

I wont say my age, but im not supposed to eat of the kids menue, at Table service locations, if asked, ill lie and say im young enough, they wont question you. If they do, tell them its really not any of their buisness how old you are, and (worst case scenario, LAST RESORT ONLY) if they continue, ask to speak with a manager.

I have never had to get past stage 2, and even then it wasnt at disney

My wife would routinely order the children's meal with a four ounce filet at the Concourse Steakhouse. We never had any problem with it.

Last year we went with my 10 y/o cousin. We were on the DP so she paid the adult price, but almost always ordered from the child's menu. Nobody had a problem with it. I think as long as you are paying the adult price and not fibbing about the age, they don't care which menu they order from :)

We were just there with 13-year-old boys. There was no problem with them ordering off the kid's menu. We were paying out of pocket.

We did have to ask for kid menus at each TS location. They seem to want to force anyone over 9 onto the adult menu if at all possible. But, we were clear we wanted kid and adult menus so the kids could choose and had no problems. In some cases, we would order two servings of mac and cheese, one serving not being sufficient for a growing boy. No problem with ordering two kid meals for one teen.

They will never have any problem with someone who has paid the adult price ordering off the kid's menu. That saves the restaurants money!
