I just read in one of my WDW guide books (Fodor's Walt Disney World & Universal Orlando with kids 2005) that you can't make ADR's unless you're staying offsite. Please tell me this isn't true!! From the book: "If you're staying off-site, it's a bit trickier, because you can't make priority-seating arrangements by phone. Your hotel may offer a reservation service that can make the arrangements.........."
I dont' plan on staying on-site for our Spring Trip. Help!!!!!!! :earseek:

No anyone can make them, but if you are staying on site you can make them 10 days in advance

How interesting it says that, as it's so wrong! LOL! Yes, you are more than welcome to make dining reservations 90 days out.

OMG. Thank you both for saving my sanity!! I promise, there it is on page 271 of the book........I think I'll have to e-mail a correction to them. And "thank them" for my small heart attack I had when I read it!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyone can make dining reservations 90 days out. Many local Florida residents come to WDW just to eat as well as many off-site guests who come to the theme parks. I can't imagine how the author of that book came up with that!

So if you are staying on site, can you make them 100 days out then? And, if you used a disney travel agent, will they make them all for you now? That's what I took the agent to mean. In the past I've had to call a lot to get all my ressie's made.

On our last family trip, we stayed offsite and I made ADR's several months ahead of time, one a week ahead of time, and one after we had already arrived..

That's a pretty big error to have published in a guide book.. :earseek: Do you mind telling us which one it was?

Well I wouldnt be reccomending that guide book to anyone. That's a mjor mistake. I feel bad for all the people that read that and then have no idea they can make an advance reservation.

It's not necessarily 100 days. It's 90 + 10 which means that if you call 90 days from the first day of your vacation you can make adr's for up to 10 days during your trip.

Oh and they are tied to your hotel reservation number so if you cancle they will also and it is your responsibility to get back any deposits you made.
