1. I love WDW
2. I'm not much a fan for big roller coasters
3. I will be with my 16 year daughter
4. We will only be going to one of the parks
5. We like live shows
6. I like the calmer rides a lot

Can someone suggest one of the parks??

I'd also say Universal based on what you said above. IOA's theming is more like Disney's and I like that park better but if you like calm rides I can't think of much at IOA.

I say US also. Based on what you are looking for you should really enjoy it.

From what I've read, Universal does sound like the park that would appeal more to you. I know that it does to me but I am fascinated with what I hear about Spiderman and Poseidon's Fury along with the Dr Seuss area and the overall theming of IOA. But Universal does seem to have gentler rides.

Have fun whichever you go to!

IOA!

Live shows.. Sinbad show, and Poisedons Fury are wonderful shows...both in IOA. Gentle rides are there too.. Spiderman..(its gentle for me!), a teacup type ride, a small coaster (Flying Unicorn), Jurassic Park River Ride is tame for me as well...

Plus... you can see the incredible themeing between the islands. The sounds of Jurassic Park, the dinosaur sounds in the bushes.. the Camp Jurassic, and the Discovery Zone (just like the first movie!)

Cartoon Lagoon... two of the funnest wet rides out there... and Me Ship the Olive is fun as well.

MArvel Super Hero.. well Spiderman ride is fun and amazing technology. It is tame, well depends... if you can ride Star Tours/Body Wars you can do this... and its much more fun.

Characters galore as well... Popeye, Betty Boop, Olive Oyl, Rocky Bullwinkle.. etc..

And the best reason to visit IOA.. Mythos REstaurant.. the themeing is incredible, and the food is amazing! Its wonderful.

Seriously, have you been to the US/IOA board here on the DIS? The people who post there can fill you in on every detail, why, when, where, how etc. :)

I've never been to IOA, but I know that Universal has a lot to offer. I don't like any sort of thrill ride, The Great Movie Ride and the 3D movies are my type of attractions. I loved Universal and can't wait to go there again. :D

Personally I recommend both:D ...it is certainly easy to do as they are practically right next to each other. Just a hop skip and jump away!

I think you can do both as well, especially if skipping the rollercoasters. You may spend more time at US. Be prepared to get wet at IOA...If you are going soon I would choose US because of being wet and cold. If you do go, try to stop at Margaritaville@Citywalk for a break and people watch. It's just great there.:smooth:
