Can MYW dining plan be bought separately?

Does anyone have any information about whether or not the Magic Your Way dining package can be bought separately? Our rooms are taken care of through DVC and with the new discount on annual passes through DVC we will be getting those. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck purchasing just the dining plan. Thanks in advance.

the dining package is only available when purchasing a MYW package that includes a room and park tickets. DVC members and annual passholders are not eligible unless they want to buy a full package.

But you can get the Disney Dining Experience card... it used to be available only to FL AP holders. Now, they have opened it up to any AP holder. The annual fee is $50, but you get 20% off most of the restaurants at WDW. It should pay for itself within one trip to Disney.

I think thats such a jip for AP holders and DVC members. I think they should offer the plan to us as well!
