My parents are coming down with us and have their own separate hotel reservation #.

We are a family of 4 my parents are 2. total of 6.

I want to make the ADR's for everyone since they are eating with us most of the times. Can I make reservations for 6 even though they have a separate hotel reservation?

Yes!

I have done the same thing for this coming August, we havea room reservation for 4 people, however we have dining reservations for 6 people. We have friends who are meeting us down there for a week.

Yes that is fine.

My friend lives in the Orlando area and she always joins us for dinner 1 night. So we pick which one and I include her in the ressie when I make them.

so on the day you were able to make your reservations you just booked for however many you needed.

great thanks

Yep. Right now our DVC stay has only DH and I listed on the reservation and we were able to make our ADRs for 7.

Your hotel reservation is totally irrelevant for your restaurant reservations, except to confirm that you are eligible for 180 + 10 booking or to book a prepaid reservation on the dining plan.

You can book your restaurant reservation for any number of people you want.
