In reading (many times) the inclusions for an intimate VR, I am confused about the "4 consecutive" hours of limo service. Does that mean if I book the limo at noon, I have to keep it until 4 p.m.? I was hoping to use the limo to ferry us to and from the airport to WDW. We are staying at either AKL or FWL, or FW cabins. Our VR will be held at FW. Does anybody know if I can have the "champagne reception" at another Disney location other than the FWL reception room? Again, my big plan was to host my family at Tony's, and have the cake after dinner there. Thanks!

We had an intimate wedding...and had to use it 4 hours in a row! We were looking to use it as transportation back and forth to the airport...but could not...we just had the limo pick us up...

Unfortunately you must have your cake cutting and toast at the same resort that your vow renewal will be taking place. You can however choose to host a dinner after you cake/champagne reception. The dinner will be entirely up to you, (Your EM may book it for you), and you may have your cake boxed up to take to your dinner. I think there is a fee of $75 though. I'm not sure if they would deliver it to inside the parks though. Congrats on planning a vow renewal! How exciting!

For intimates, the limo must be used four hours in a row. Like you said, if you book it at noon, you have it until four. It's because you're booking the service and time of the driver, not necessarily the car itself and the driver comes in four hour blocks. If you wanted to use the limo to pick you up at the airport, then you'd have it for four hours that afternoon so go hit the outlet malls on the way in or something like that. Or better yet, just book an airport transfer separately with Mears or similar and save the limo for the big day--especially if you're staying at AKL and getting married elsewhere.

Regarding the reception, you must have it at the venue of your wedding (ie Sunset Pointe wedding, Poly reception). Having the cake boxed and delivered to Tony's for dinner that evening is absolutely possible. There are no extra fees attached for doing that, but it will take some coordination and follow-up with your EM to make sure it happens as it is certainly a special request (which they will oblige). You'll still have the "reception" after your ceremony for the sake of photos, but the cake will then be boxed in tact, minus the piece you cut for the feeding each other cake photo, and you'll then be set for dinner that evening.

A word of warning though, it is very difficult for Tony's to easily accomodate groups over 8 in number. This is experience talking. Their tables are pretty much all four-tops and we had 12 in our party. We got a PS for 12, but with their floor layout they were unable to push together enough tables for us to be seated in one long row. So we were bunched together eight at one table and four at another which was kiddy-corner adjacent to the other. Wasn't the best seating, but it wasn't our wedding dinner either so we rolled with it and enjoyed the personalities of the waitstaff.

Thanks for the info. Disney has said No too many times, so I'm shucking the whole VR idea. They are happy to take my money, but won't make any concessions from the phone calls I've made. OK, fine. We're still going to celebrate our 20th there, just without their very strict rules about "my" VR. Party poopers. Whew, I really feel better now, thanks again!:) Oh, my party is only 7, so I'm still hoping to have a nice dinner at Tony's. We are staying at AK concierge, so my plan is to have them transport my cake topper to Tony's (or wherever the cake is made), and present it as dessert. Is there a special baker at WDW I can use?

Oh, a party of 7 will fit in nicely at Tony's and you'll have a great time.

Not sure if I understood your question--you want to know who in WDW can bake a wedding style cake and have it delivered to Tony's for you??? I'd call the restaurant manager at Tony's to coordinate it and ask him/her for suggestions on how to handle. I'll bet they'll refer you to the GF's bakery but don't take my word for it.

Oh, and be sure to go get "re-hitched" at The Garden Grille in Epcot. The best Disney VR outside of FTW!;)
