Yes. I have been behind those people: scrolling to try to figure out which card, then yelling out a name, then they're all crowding around blocking people from passing, then they match up the wrong finger to the wrong card, then they're scanning an expired card that they forgot to delete, then they're using their phone incorrectly and trying to scan their Visa to get in. Just ask for a physical card for everyone. They're free. Also, it's sort of annoying being behind that person in line....
I used my phone a couple of times for our family of 4 when my children forgot there magic bands. If you have your family ready it's quick. We always line up in the same order(however it's in your phone is the easiest) and the person with the passes goes last. Bring up the pass on your phone, scan it, as soon as the turnstile lights up for the fingerprint scroll to the next pass, we had everyone scanned and thru in less than 30 seconds on multiple uses. We also try to get the front turnstile so not to block anyone behind us and everyone gives a quck wipe of whichever finger there using for the fingerprint(which should be done regardless of which method you use) . Don't wait until your inline to figure out how to use it which I have seen multiple times. IMO, It's the people that make it difficult not the technology. Yes, it's easier if everyone has a magic band or card however if you know how to quickly get your passes on your phone it's not bad.
My experience is with an Iphone and can't speak to how it's on an android.
Part of Disney's privacy policy is that they do not take your fingerprint so I would think opting out or using someone else's finger print would cause more confusion. Is it obligatory to give the fingerprint can you opt out?
Yes, but it is a pain especially if you are purchasing lightning lanes. You can get free admission cards for each family member from any of the ticket booths as well. Can a lead guest use his phone to scan a family of 4 into the parks without having to buy magic bands for everyone?
Adults can use their own fingers for children. This is especially useful because little kids small fingers do not scan well.Is it obligatory to give the fingerprint can you opt out?

But how can the card have the Multipass on it especially if you modify at short notice? how does it update?Yes, but it is a pain especially if you are purchasing lightning lanes. You can get free admission cards for each family member from any of the ticket booths as well.

The only thing on the card is the identifier that ties it to your My Disney Experience account. All of your entitlements are linked to your My Disney Experience account. Whether you scan MagicMobile, a MagicBand, MagicBand+ or key card, it just pulls up your My Disney Experience card. But how can the card have the Multipass on it especially if you modify at short notice? how does it update?
