Can it be? No discount resort codes for AP holders? or anyone?

I haven't received my own monitor yet but themeparks.com has put the February AP monitor on their site and there are no discounts for May or further months. There's one mention of the AKL having a discount until 4/09/03 but that's old news. I went to Mousesavers and nothing there new, either. Can this be true?

I'm hoping that maybe themeparks.com decided not to post the codes or something. I'm hoping mousesavers has just not gotten around to doing it yet.

Anyone else out there able to confirm this?

Some years in the past the codes haven't come out till March, so we might have to wait till then.

If advance bookings are strong enough, Disney may not see the need to offer any discounts.

FWIW, I think Disney has caught on to the fact that people are booking closer to the date of arrival than they have in the past. Because of that, Disney may not offer discounts until much closer to arrival than they have in the past. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I was freaking out to my DH about the irony that these types of message boards, which has hints that save us money, could actually contribute to pre booking and code waiting----thus convincing Disney to not offer discounts.

He assured me that that the readers of these boards only represent a small fraction of the population going to Disneyworld in May and that 99% of the opoulation are uninformed. Do you all agree or disagree?

I also agree. Several of my co-workers are 'addicted to Disney' and although I have told them about these boards & mousesavers.com, they continue to go to WDW several times a year and pay rack rates.

I totally agree with this. I tell people I'm addicted to these boards and how I plan my trip with them and everyone I know still pays top dollar.


I was taking to one of the moderators and she agrees that May is an especially good time for discounts and codes.

I'm trying not to worry. Besides, I'll will have had a nervous breakdown by the time the codes come out, so I won't know what it is to worry. LOL
