Can I wear Teva sandals at water parks (on slides)?

Our water park here does not allow you to wear or carry Teva or any sandals on the slides, just allows water shoes (designed for water sports). I love my Tevas, and wear them in the ocean and everywhere else.


Will I be able to wear them on the slides/lazy river/wave pool? Or should I invest in water shoes?

Good question...we are thinking about buying Teva's and I was wondering the same thing.

On some slides they make you remove even water shoes.

I love mt Tevas (wear them almost exclusively), but at the beach and water parks, I go barefoot.

most water parks will make you take the shoes/sandals off before you go down the slide. Some will send them down the slide before you - some will not.

In a lazy river you can keep them on

I was able to wear my Tevas on everything at BB and TL except the body slides earlier this month. I wore them in Lazy River, Family Raft Ride, Tube slides, mat slides, and in the wave pools.

FYI: the shallow area around the TL wave pool was very slick. I was happy to have my Tevas.

I think there is a problem if anything you're wearing has metal buckles but that isn't an issue with Tevas. Most recent visit to TL was last May. Wore my Tevas in the wave pool, lazy river and the three Storm slides (I think that's what they are called -- they are the gentlest slides at TL). No problem at all wearing my Tevas -- nobody asked me to remove them before going down the slides. Glad I had them on when walking around since the concrete gets pretty hot there.

So unless things have changed, Tevas are allowed on at least those attractions at TL. Don't know about the steeper slides since I never go down those!
