Can I wear phone around neck to avoid bag check?

I have never understood what the problem is with bag check. It is quick, I've never been held up there and it is almost as fast as finding the no bag line. Open stuff up so that they can look in without a lot of delay and you are on your way. I find it to be no big deal at all.

Just don't try to wear your clock around your neck while sporting your cool hat you bought in EPCOT Norway (while you could)! They do frown on that. I speak from experience.

I agree and I always carry a bag. Not a huge bag but a very small one but I just go through the bag check line, have everything open and then continue. I think a minute of my life when I'm at Disney World is fine. But then again, I am a planner so if I *have* to be at Point A at a certain time, I'm always ten minutes early so I just plan to spend that extra minute so I leave the room eleven minutes early.

We've always just carried our phone in our hands or in our pockets. NEVER have had an issue and we go almost monthly.

They want to see ANY bag. Even if it is small and has room only for a phone, they will want you to open it and show them the phone. If you have the phone in your hand and the pouch open, it won't take them long to look but you will still have to get into the line.

A few answers to some of the questions raised. Putting pockets in the sundress is a great idea! I'm going to take the dress to the tailor tomorrow and see what he can do.

I am not a practical cargo shorts kind of girl! LOL! In fact, I don't like short at all. We go to WDW a lot and I have an arsenal of comfortable, easy to pack sundresses and flip flops that I bring (yes I can walk in them all day). I love that I can throw them on and my outfit is done. I typically carry a le sportsac cross body that is roomy enough for all of our ponchos, water bottles etc.

I'm wearing a vintage 1970's Star Wars sundress for SWW. I found a few iPhone cases online that have a small pocket for bills and slots for 2 CC's, plus a wrist strap attached. That's all I need. I'm going to get one of those and have DH put it in his pocket. If we still have to go through bag check, that's fine, but I'll give it a shot.

That's pretty much what we do and we have never been stopped or redirected to the bag check.

If DH had tucked his more into his pocket it would have been fine, but they could see it between beltloop and pocket and he got to join me in line.

Yes, they could very much see it. It sits right on my belt, in plain sight.
