I didn't want to hijack another thread (any more than I already had!) so I thought I'd start a new one...

I plan on having a wedding and brunch at the Wedding pavilion and Whitehall Patio, can I still wear my dress if i want when we spend the rest of the day at Epcot?

I don't believe so. Our coordinator told us if we wanted to wear our "wedding attire" to a dessert party at Epcot, we'd have to be escorted by a CM.

No, unfortunately you can't wear wedding attire into a Disney park unless it's for a booked event like a DP or an early morning in-park ceremony.

Rumour has it - but I don't know if it is true - that this rule applies so that guests do not think you are a character eg a princess!!

I heard a story but never found the article, so I don't know if is true or not. But a bride was turned away at one of the other Disney parks (Not Disneyland or Walt Disney World) because she was wearing her wedding dress.
Also I was told that no person over the age of 9 can wear a "costume" in the parks with the exception of the Halloween party. And a wedding gown is considered a costume.

I heard this too. I have thought about going to MNSSHP in my wedding dress just for the pictures.. :rotfl:

It was Disneyland Paris, there's an article about it here. According to the report the reason she was given was she could be mistaken for a cast member.

Thanks for the article, I was looking for it for a while but didn't know enough details to find it!

Personally, I think an exception should be made just for me (JK!) because I walk with forearm crutches. The last time I checked, there were no Disney princesses with disabilities. I think my logic is unsinkable; what do you think my wedding coordinator would think of this? :rotfl:

hoping to not hijack but clarify something. My sister is having a wedding @ GF Beach, brunch @ Narcoosee's, and a DP at UK Terrace. Will she be allowed to wear her wedding dress to the DP because we will be escorted in and out by a CM I would assume?

Yes—as long as she is having a Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding event and is escorted or driven into the park, she can wear her dress to the DP in Epcot.
