Can I use ME without existing resort reservation?

Ok here is the situation. I will be booking a WDW package. My Mother may decide to come with us for a portion of the trip, but probably won't know if she will come until a couple weeks from trip.
Now advice from other diser's is to add her to my room once we arrive at resort, so as to not mess up my package and not make her pay for tickets she will not use and DP.
So my question is, can she us ME to get from airport to resort without a resort reservation number? If she calls ME 10 days or more from trip, can she book a ME seat and just tell she plans to stay at CSR resort?

No, she must be a registered guest on a reservation to get DME.

No she needs to be on a reservation to use ME. She could use the Mears shuttle from the airport.

Like PP's have mentioned you have to have a reservation to use DME and it is only offered to registered guests.

However, if your mom is arriving a day or two after you arrive you could just add her to the reservation after you check in for the days she will be a guest. Then call DME from your room and register her for DME. She won't get the luggage tags and will have to stop at the DME counter at the airport but at least she can get the motorcoach ride!

I did this with my sister in April - my dd's and I had the 4/3 deal with quick serve and I just put my sister on the day after we arrived without the package. She used DME both ways without issue!

Thanks TJ. That's good to know. I was just wondering that once she was put on the reservation for my room if she could ride ME back. You answered my inquiring mind.

she can, but you'll need to call ME once you add her to the reservation and see that she is listed for the pickup.
