I have already booked the room, if I buy the book, do you think a hotel would honor the discount?

I would call ahead of time and tell them you have an Entertainment Card and ask if they have any rates available. You might just be able to adjust your reservations or you might have to cancel your existing one and make a new one.

But, I don't have a card. Seems like you would have to verifly that you have the card to get a discount, anyway thanks for the help.

Good Day

Sorry I wasn't more clear. At most hotels I've dealt with, you don't need to have the card when you make the reservation, just when you check in.

I've made reservations already for Holiday Inn Family Suites and Royal Pacific Resort at the Entertainment rate and I don't have my book/card yet. I'm waiting for the new ones to come out.

Hope that helps,

You don't need the card to book the room, only to check in.

I'd definitely call the hotel and ask if they have any rooms available at that rate.

Kcarp,

I don't know where you have booked a room, but I was able to book a room at the Country Inn and Suites (Calypso Cay), asking for the Entertainment rate and getting it without having the card in hand. Just having the card doesn't guarantee the rate--you must ask for the rate and the reservationist will tell you if they have availability for your dates at that rate. I wanted to be sure that I could secure the rate before I bought the book/card because that would be my main reason for puchasing it.

I had made reservations at the Royal Pacific through Travelocity for $199. I called RP directly and asked if they had that same room for the entertainment rate and which they did for $110. I cancelled through Travelocity ($20 cancellation fee) bought the book $10 through mousesavers and rebooked with RP directly. I was told to bring my entertainment card when I checked in. It was not needed for the reservation. I also added I had a Loews card (the number which I had to provide) and they added my preferences of newspaper in the morning and fresh fruit in the evening.

I think the Entertainment Book rates are only in effect when there is 80% vacancy - so it's best to book those rates EARLY.
