Can I use EA if I have counter service?

I belong to Emerald Club, but made my reservation on an intermediate car without it because of the great rate plus used the Entertainment coupon to knock off one day. When I tried to make it using Emerald, they said I couldn't get the discount rate with the Entertainment coupon. Fine, but my question is can I still select any car from EA even if I start with counter? Thanks.
