Can I use DDP for the meal and DDE for alcohol?

We are planning on using the DDE for our meal. Can we also use the DDE for alcohol or other out of pocket things not covered by the DDP during the SAME meal?

I know they ring up the OOP expenses separately so I doubt it would be a problem, but I'm not sure.

Anyone know?

You are supposed to be able to do that, and we had no problems doing it on our May trip. However, I have seen one or two posts where they said it was not allowed at a particular restaurant. It's the kind of thing I wouldn't worry about for a beer, but I'd sure ask first before ordering a bottle of wine.

That is sure what I am planning on doing! I love my glass of wine with dinner... ok sometimes two. I have a DDE card just for those perks. I would think that any OOP food and beverage expenses could be discounted using DDE option. That is why people pay for the card and use them, to help with paying for the price of food and drink.

That is exactly what we did in May also....it has been reported that some people have had trouble. They just rang up 2 receipts for us--one for the DDP stuff and one for anything else (which went on the DDE.)

We also did it in May covered any thing that did not come with the dining plan.
